Research Internships (Undergraduate and Graduate)
CREATE offers various unpaid research internships for undergraduate and graduate students for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Duties. Students will engage in a range of activities relating to field studies and experiments, including school visits, data collection, data transcription, coding, as well as other responsibilities that may arise. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty, senior doctoral students, and Post Doctoral Scholars and gain first hand experience with and an understanding of educational and experimental research. We will provide all necessary training. Hours are flexible, but students need to make a commitment of at least 5 hours a week.
Qualifications: We welcome to our team students who are responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented with an interest in technology and the psychology of education and the ability to work well in a team environment. Two to three positions are available per semester.

Games for Learning (G4L) – Research Assistant (Graduate):
CREATE has currently two openings for research assistant positions, starting September 2, 2008. We are looking for highly motivated graduate students to participate in a research project investigating the educational potential of computer games.
Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of research preparation, implementation, and data analysis as well as report writing, with the opportunity to become an active participant in conducting research and authorship on publications as well as grant writing.
Qualifications: Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in education, psychology, or related fields, familiarity and ease with standard office computer applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in gaming (video games), school-based empirical research and data analysis (qualitative and quantitative) is strongly desirable.
